I grew up in a house church. An elder from our church in Ft Smith, AR would come to us at our house church (which was in our neighborhood) every week. We would attend church at the FS church about once a month(it was 50 miles from where we lived). When I grew up and started attending other church services, it was very strange for me. Not as intimate, God did seem further away to me in the big churches. I do not attend any church at the moment, but came across your web site,and just thought I would put in my 2 cents worth.
